Report on the 1996 joined Business Meeting
of the
European Workshop on Computational Geometry
and the
GI Special Interest Group Computational Geometry (0.1.2)

Münster, March 28, 1996

The particiants agreed that this year's Computational Geometry Workshop was most interesting. The assembly expressed their thanks to Klaus Hinrichs and his team for organizing the workshop so well.

The elections of the speakers of the special interest group had the following results: Rolf Klein, Heinrich Müller and Emo Welzl were unanimously reelected.

For next CG workshops, two bids were made and unanimously confirmed by the assembly.

Many thanks go to Hartmut Noltemeier and Ferran Hurtado for their willingness to organize a workshop.

The vast majority of the participants agreed that no formal proceedings should be published of the papers presented at CG workshops. Instead, a collection of abstracts could be distributed among the participants and put into the worldwide Web.
